Woman’s Hour Craft Prize

Today is the opening of the Woman´s Hour Craft Prize exhibition that will showcase innovative and exciting craft practice in the UK. Organised by the V&A Museum, the show will be at the Bristol Museum & Art Gallery from 7 July to 2 September 2018, 

“From woven willow and darned jumpers to a bespoke bicycle and an intricate jewellery box”, makers using traditional raw and historic skills but inspired by new techniques and motivated by challenging ideas will provide to this exhibition with a very contemporary touch. The Woman’s Hour Craft Prize will take place in this framework is in association with BBC Radio 4 and the Crafts Council.

Alongside the exhibition, a Make Space will be organised for activities and for showcasing local makers.
